Anime is a billion-dollar industry for a reason. For more than a century, it has captivated the minds of audiences all over the world. What started as a Japanese cultural phenomenon has quickly transformed into a global attraction. People love anime because of its distinctive story-telling. The fun, informative, unique character depictions followed by the plots, sub-plots and character development really make up for an excellent viewing experience.

Anime as an art has the power to bind you and drag you in a fantasy world. Creative animations and shows such as Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, and Attack on Titan have a massive following not just in Japan but throughout the world. There are thousands of anime and naturally, each one has its specified audience. As an anime lover or as a casual, looking to get started with anime, you want to watch the content on a platform that you can trust. Today, we’re reviewing a website which is rated as one of the best anime websites on the internet – AnimeDao.

What is AnimeDao?

AnimeDao is an online streaming website that allows you to watch your favorite anime shows from anywhere in the world. All you need is a good streaming device and an internet connection. As for the source, AnimeDao is in my list of top five anime websites on the internet. Why? It provides extraordinary streaming capabilities and works lag-free. You can switch streaming quality based upon your internet speed and you can even set a limit.

Why should you stream on AnimeDao?

If you’re in for an amazing anime streaming experience, AnimeDao is the platform you need to check out. You’ll find all the best anime content on this website for absolutely free. From the latest episodes from the ongoing series to the most popular shows, you’ll find everything on this platform. There are many reasons why you should stream on this platform and I’m going to share a few of them with you.

Simple Design

As expressed in my recent reviews, anime websites need to strike a balance between being fancy and offering a great user experience. With a simple design, AnimeDao leans towards functionality rather than form, which in my opinion is better. There are large thumbnails with big text along with information such as the upload date so you can find the content as quickly as possible.

Dark theme

Most of the social media platforms and streaming websites tried integrating this feature on their website. AnimeDao, similar to those platforms, started to offer users a one-click dark/light theme template switch which adds to the overall streaming experience. I love dark themes and thus be it my Instagram, YouTube, Reddit or my anime website, I prefer it over the bright white theme. You can choose as per your preference.

Massive Content Library

There are nearly 2000+ titles on this anime streaming site. You can search for any anime that you want. If you haven’t decided, you can choose to try out the popular ones. Other than that, you can check the entire list and read the synopsis before starting any series. I’m hooked to this platform and on weekends, I’m often binge-watching shows that I had no idea about.

Content Structure

Other than the content itself, the content structure plays a vital role for a new user. On the homepage, you can find a list of all the recent episodes that aired recently. This allows you to understand the timeframe of a particular anime. You can also sort the content based upon popularity. Thus, by clicking the Popular tab, you can find the shows which are loved by audiences from around the world.

Ad-free homepage

What separates AnimeDao from Animefreak is that you have no ad banners on the homepage. This is an important element as it allows the users to browse the website seamlessly. It’s only upon visiting the inner pages that you’ll find the GDN banners. Luckily, none of those are intrusive or hinder your browsing or navigation experience in any way. Such little attention to detail makes a huge difference.

How to access AnimeDao?

AnimeDao is quite popular and thus you can access the website in many ways. The two ways I’d recommend you access the website are as follows: 1. Search for the term ‘AnimeDao’ in your search engine and you’ll likely find the website on the first page in the search results. 2. You can use the following link to access the website directly: AnimeDao. Before accessing the website, just make sure that you have an active VPN as it will protect you from malvertisements and hackers

Design

AnimeDao is not as expressive as Animefreak or Animeheaven in terms of design. It keeps things simple and that might be appealing to many users. The blue and white color combination over a wooden wallpaper looks super clean. The menus are simple and browsing around the website is simply a treat.

Header

The header section of this website features the logo towards the left. (resembles the telegram social media platform). At the center, you have three options – ‘Home’, ‘Anime list’, and ‘Popular’. Towards the right, you have the search bar which you can use to find any content directly.

Hero Section

The no-nonsense approach in the hero section has mixed reviews. There are four main options – ‘Latest’, ‘Ongoing’, ‘Added’, and ‘Dark’. Below these options, you have short vertical thumbnails accompanied by the details. All the content that you see in this section has been added recently.

Body

You’ll only find the first five rows in the hero section. It’s the body section that continues the content laden approach. There are three titles in each row and there are more than 15 rows on a single page. What I love about this section is there are no ads at all. Thus, you can scroll freely without worrying about misclicking.

Footer

The footer section on the website is very well designed. There are two main options – ‘Quick Links’ and ‘Site Links’. Under Quick Links, you have ‘Anime List’, and ‘Popular Anime’. Under Site Links, you’ll find ‘Contact Us’, ‘Privacy Policy’, and ‘Disclaimer’. Towards the right, you have a logo on the right and summary above that.

Inner Pages

There are two prominent inner pages that caught my eye. First, as usual, was the channel list. The second was the streaming page. There are four main options above the video player – ‘MX’, ‘VCDN’, ‘HLS’, and ‘GO’. Under the stream player, you can find a list of different episodes and towards the right, you can find a GDN banner.

Content

AnimeDao is a popular platform that has no dearth of content. There are nearly 2000 anime that cover a wide range of genres such as horror, sports, drama, fantasy, action, parody, shoujo, supernatural, thriller, crime, and magic among many others. You can find anime in English subtitles and you can even find dubbed content on the platform. Some of the popular titles that you can watch on this streaming site include ‘One Piece’, ‘My Hero Academia’, ‘Black Clover’, ‘Demon Slayer’, ‘Naruto Shippuden’, ‘HunterXHunter’, ‘Assassin’s Pride’, ‘Pokemon’, and ‘Given’.

Desktop/Mobile experience

Streaming on AnimeDao has been a pleasant experience thus far. I’ve streamed the website on my Hp 15 laptop and my Pixel 3a and iPhone XR in the past six months. All the streaming sessions have been hassle-free. There are limited ads which do not hinder the streaming experience in any way.

The in-built player allows you to stream on AnimeDao without requiring an additional player or plugin. This prevents malware from creating mischiefs. You won’t find any flash player update required or some random trojan downloading on the PC. The well-designed interface ensures effective navigation. Having said that, I’d recommend you always use a VPN as it will protect your device as well as your identity.

Suggestions I have for AnimeDao

I don’t have any specific complaints regarding the website. Since the content is available for free, I don’t mind the GDN banners. They don’t hinder the streaming experience in any way. Thus, I’d like to applaud the developers for their tremendous efforts. The only addition I’d like the developers to work on is the auto-play feature which can take the viewing experience to a whole new level.

Conclusion

AnimeDao is your one-stop-shop for all your anime needs. Its clean interface and user-intuitive design help you find the content in no time. It is amongst the top platforms for streaming anime from a wide range of genres. With high-quality streaming capabilities and a large content bucket, you can start binge-watching your favorite shows.
