LiveNewsMag is a free news streaming site that has top news channels from the US, Europe, and the Middle-East. It’s very popular among the regular MSNBC and CNN streamers who see it as the best free alternative to paid news service. Unlike FreeInterTV, I’ve seen LiveNewsMag for the last three years attracting over 500,000+ users per month.
It is amongst the top free news streaming websites amassing over 20,000 users and nearly 100,000-page views per day. LiveNewsMag is similar to USTV GO which provides many more channels to the users. This service primarily focuses on news content from major news networks.
LiveNewsMag and its number of channels have been stagnant over the years. Though you can see it adding Al-Jazeera and a couple of other channels from Ghana, it’s not focused on expanding its content library.
If you search for the LiveNewsMag, the first few things you’ll see in the search results are MSNBC Live Streaming, Watch MSNBC Online, CNN Live Stream, BBC News Live Stream and Fox News Live Stream. Even if you were to type those snippet results individually, you’d find LiveNewsMag within the first few pages in the search engine.
What is LiveNewsMag?
LiveNewsMag is a news content aggregator that offers 50+ news streaming channels to its users across the globe. With a stable internet connection, you can watch the world’s largest news networks for free. Though the service is not blocked and you can find it directly, I’d recommend you to use a VPN to protect yourself from authorities and malvertising.
Why should you stream on LiveNewsMag?
Most of the streaming websites do not stick to a particular type of content. They just keep on piling one content bucket after the other, however, that’s not the case with LiveNewsMag. With this streaming platform, you get pure news content in a hassle-free manner. You can stream major news networks from the countries mentioned above without any discrepancies. Thus, if you’re news savvy, you won’t need to pay for premium news services and can enjoy the content via free live streaming.
LiveNewsMag doesn’t offer on-demand content or catch-up content. Almost every news channel on the website shows real-time content. Thus, if you tune in now, you’ll find the same content on CNN as you’d do on your cable network. What’s even better is that it provides a synopsis for every channel so you can have a fair idea if you’re interested in streaming a particular news channel about which you have no idea.
Expansive News Content
Not only is the content purely news-focused, but it encompasses content from the major media outlets across the world. From BBC in the UK to CNN in the US, from Zee News in India to Al-Jazeera Network in the Middle-East, you can stay up-to-date with any news channel that you wish to follow.
Access within a single click
We’ve seen this feature before on the USTVGO streaming service. LiveNewsMag though it does have ads doesn’t compromise on the user experience. As soon as you enter the website, you can access the news stream through the media player by clicking on a particular channel. The only time where you might have to click more than once is when you’re using the search bar to find a channel you can’t see on the homepage.
Ads don’t disrupt browsing
Sure, there are plenty of ads on this streaming network. However, they are well-placed and they do not rub users the wrong way. You’ll find a dedicated native blog advertisement section on the right followed by a couple of banners in the hero section. Apart from that, there’s no misclicks or annoying pop-ups which force you to another website.
When it comes to LiveNewsMag, you don’t just get the main news channel but regional news network as well. Thus, if you’re in Dallas but want to watch what’s happening in San Francisco, you can switch from Fox 2 to Fox 4. Similarly, there’s Fox 5 for Atlanta, Fox 35 for Orlando, Fox 12 for Tampa Bay and so on. Remember, this was just an example of the Fox Network, there’s ABC, NBC, MSNBC, and many other major networks as well. Thus, there’s no way you can miss a beat on any hard or soft news being covered across the country.
How to access LiveNewsMag?
You can access LiveNewsMag either by typing a keyword in the search engine or by using this link: LiveNewsMag. Before you do so, I’d urge you to use a VPN to stay protected at all times.
Design-wise LiveNewsMag is certainly better than FreeInterTV. Though it doesn’t look the best in the news category, it’s not completely bland. This website has the US colors – blue, red and white all across the website. The moment you visit the homepage, you’ll see a header in that color combination followed by the category tab which has the red and white combination. As you move down, you can see some diversity with a grey background but that’s about it.
LiveNewsMag’s hero section has a menu with options such as American, Europe, Russia, Africa, Al Jazeera Network, Subscribe Pro and Contact us along with the sharing button and search bar on the right. If you hover over the options, you’ll find a sub-category in each of these menus. For instance, when you hover over American, you see Fox News and NBC News. Upon clicking any of those options, you’ll be taken a dedicated page comprising of regional channels from those news outlets. Apart from that, there’s a slide menu that has four slides – ABC, ABC 7 Chicago, ABC News 24, and ABC 13 Action News.
If you use the inner pages to access a network, you’ll be taken to blogs written in 2016. Thus, when I clicked on UK > BBC, I ended up on a landing page with different BBC channels and a short summary of them. Upon clicking further, you will visit a dedicated page with a summary and a media player which plays the live stream from that channel. One thing that caught my eye was that even on the inner pages, you’ll find native ads on the right (similar to the homepage).
If you love watching the news and that’s pretty much all you do, then LiveNewsMag can be an alternative to your paid news services. You get 50+ major news networks from across the globe which include: NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CNN, Fox, BBC, Al-Jazeera, ADOM TV (Ghana), Emmanuel TV (Nigeria) and Zee News (India).
You can stream any news content you want on this website. With the availability of regional content, staying up-to-date with the world has become quite easy. Having said that, one thing that this streaming service lacks is depth. Sure, it covers major news networks in the US and the UK, but it lacks content channels from a majority of the European countries and even Indian news channels such as NDTV, Republic TV, and Aaj Tak to name a few.
I’ve streamed LiveNewsMag on my 14” Dell laptop and I had a decent streaming experience. Additionally, I even tried to stream it on my Google Pixel 2 and that experience wasn’t shabby either. However, I have to say that streaming on the desktop feels better than streaming on mobile phones because of ads – which in this case wasn’t that much. The developer seems to know that disruptive ad can increase the bounce rate and thus has worked on improving the user experience by placing ads in the right places.
Suggestions I have for LiveNewsMag
I would love for LiveNewsMag to extend their content bucket. Right now, the numbers of channels available are only good for American users. However, if they want to attract a worldwide audience, they should think about markets such as India, Australia, New Zealand, and other Asian countries.
Though I get that ad revenue is the driving force in such a content aggregating website and CPC is low in those countries which leads to the neglection. But if that’s the judging parameter than having African or Middle-Eastern news networks don’t make much sense either.
If you’re in the US and you want to stream news for free, you should try LiveNewsMag. Though it doesn’t have the widest range of channels, it does offer a quality streaming service. There’s no premium network or service which will provide you the adrenaline rush but if you’re a news lover, I’m sure you have that in plenty already.
