Life can get so hectic so fast. Sometimes we don’t even notice it happening. Trying to balance all of our obligations – from work, trying to maintain a social life, family, bills, etc. – can prove to be an extremely stressful enterprise. This is why, here and there, we truly need something easy, something simple that we can turn to.
There is nothing better than coming home from a long day at work and just turning the brain off for a little while. Some nights you just have to pour yourself a glass of wine (or whatever you like to drink in order to relax … tea perhaps), and just decompress. And few things are better for helping us escape the minutia of our daily lives than TV and film. The way that we can just get lost in a good movie or a series is unparalleled. Which is why it is important that we have a reliable resource for entertainment.
But finding a source for watching our favorite series and films that are both dependable and affordable can become a daunting task in its own right. Of course, there are all of the big-name premium streaming services out there – like Hulu, Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, HBO (Now, Max, Go), etc. – but choosing one of these is no easy task. And choosing multiple is no affordable task, that’s for sure.
What can be done then? How can we quickly and easily put on something to help us decompress that isn’t going to cause us to break the bank? Well, have you ever considered trying one of the many, many free movie and TV streaming sites that exist online? Yeah, you read that correctly … there are, indeed, numerous free (!) movies and TV streaming sites to choose from.
This is not “free” as in ‘read the fine print because it is only free up to a certain point’ either. No, we are talking about pure, no strings, no hidden fees, nothing. Just direct your browser to the site in question, kick back, and decompress with the best titles in Hollywood and television today. Does that sound too good to believe? Well, it’s about time you started believing. There are so many sites like this, it can be nearly impossible to tell, from the outset, which ones are worth your time and which ones are just going to cause you more stress.
But that’s what I’m here for … to help you weed out the garbage sites from the cream of the crop. If there is any streaming site online, free or for a fee, I am here to tell you about it. As you may already be aware, there are more spammy “free” movie streaming sites on the internet today than there are quality ones. But, no need to worry, I’ve done the research so that you don’t have to. Some of these sites exist solely to sell ad space. Others, unfortunately, can be riddled in viruses and trojan trackers.
Even though I would never steer you toward a site that I know to be harmful, it is generally a good idea to arm yourself with a VPN, a decent antivirus software, and an adblocker extension (you can find some of these tools, too, elsewhere on streamingsites.com). No matter where on the internet you prefer to spend your time, it is wise to have these tools for your safety.
However, for now, I want to take a look at one of the many free movie streaming sites out there that I can say with confidence is safe. Today, we will be taking a look at Movie Ninja.
Sites of this nature often do not have a whole lot in the way of history available online. It is in the very nature of a “downpour” site to have to be a little less transparent than most other sites. There are, after all, plenty of very powerful and wealthy film studios who would, I’m sure, be champing at the bit to have a site like this one shut down. Therefore, it is best that sites like Movie Ninja remain relatively hushed.
However, it does appear as if sometime recently Movie Ninja has begun working on a rebrand as Movie Gaga, as that is the domain that typing movieninja.to now brings users to. And given how well this site is designed, it would appear as if this free movie streaming service has been around the block a few times – I highly doubt they just went up yesterday – this is a very sophisticated and professional-looking design.
I honestly do not know if I have ever seen a sleeker, more professional looking free movie streaming site. These sorts of sites are generally not quite known for their strengths in design. Oftentimes, in fact, they are cluttered and clunky, not very easy to navigate. This is far from the case, however, when it comes to Movie Ninja. The site looks just as good as some of the premium streaming services out there, offering a regal black and gold theme and an extremely meticulous organizational structure – allowing users to browse the site’s enormous archive by genre tag, type of media, rating, and year.
Movie Ninja offers up pretty much everything and anything movie and TV. If it has been released and people know about it, chances are you will be able to find it on Movie Ninja. But it isn’t just the amount of content that makes Movie Ninja as impressive as it is … it is the quality of content as well. Nearly every title offered on this site streams in HD. This is such a rare balance to find in a free movie and TV streaming site.
Mobile and Desktop Experience
Another hard to find trait in a site like this, Movie Ninja offers just as good a user experience whether you are viewing on your smartphone or your desktop computer. Of course, watching a full-length movie is never quite as enjoyable on, say, an iPhone as it is on a laptop (especially when said laptop is plugged into your TV). But if you are ever in a pinch, you can rest easy knowing that Movie Ninja will work just fine on your phone.
Pricing and Plans
So, this is where I start to file complaints with Movie Ninja. Unfortunately, the site does not offer any sort of premium version that you can opt into. This is, for me, a huge bummer because the site is lousy with ads. And I mean it’s really bad. It’s one of those sites that opens up a new tab almost every time you click on anything … even the scroll bar. I would gladly pay monthly for a premium version of this site that was ad-free.
Suggestions that I have for Movie Ninja
And that is precisely what I would suggest to Movie Ninja. Please offer a premium ad-free version of the site … I think that people would be willing to throw a few bucks a month at Movie Ninja, especially considering how well the site is designed and organized. Oh, and, of course, an app could never hurt!
All in all, if you are looking for a free movie and streaming site that truly cares about the way it presents itself and the quality of the content that it offers, Movie Ninja is the site for you. I love how well it is designed, how well-organized all of the content is (movies and shows are actually, in some ways, easier to browse and locate than they are on, say, Netflix and Hulu). The site functions equally well whether you are watching on your computer or on your smartphone, which just adds to its convenience factor.
My only real qualms, of course, concern the annoyingness of the ads, the fact that there is no option for buying your way out of the ads, and the lack of an app. But, then again, when you think about it, all of these issues are pretty par for the course for a site like this. Still, it would be nice if Movie Ninja would also go above and beyond their competitors in these areas – as they already have in so many others!
