The rise of IPTV has really stirred the competition in the entertainment world dominated by traditional television service providers via cable or satellite tv. Sure, streaming services have been on a rise in recent times, however, none of them can be deemed as a cord-cutting alternative. On the other hand, IPTVs are making remarkable progress in terms of their offerings which makes it really hard to turn down. For just a fraction of the price, you get to watch all major channels and access top features which you couldn’t do with a traditional service provider.

What is StreamLive?

StreamLive is an IPTV service provider that provides free and premium membership to its users. The free membership is for everyone and any user can access the website to watch content for free. However, the free membership is hosted on shared servers and thus you won’t have the best of the streaming experience. Thus, if you like the service and would like to enhance your streaming experience, that’s when you can make a decision about going premium.

There are various plans for you to choose from as per your preference. If you’re a sports or a movie lover, you can pick your plan accordingly. What I like about this IPTV service is that it doesn’t bundle down everything into two or three plans. It has many variations allowing you to make a calculated decision based upon your viewing needs. Having said that, this service is quite competitive and as affordable as other leading IPTV services on the internet.

Why should you stream on StreamLive?

There are a few websites that have deemed StreamLive as a scam but based upon my personal experience, I didn’t feel so. They didn’t bill me apart from the original plan and I did get what I was promised. Sure, it wasn’t as good as IPTV King or IPTV Box, but suggesting that it’s a scam can’t be any farther from the truth. Based on my experience, here are several reasons why you should consider streaming on this website.

Excellent User Interface

StreamLive does have a great interface. All the categories are well-segregated and finding content is quite easy. Based on the content type, you can find various channels in different sections such as Sports, News, Movies, Entertainment, Family, Cartoon, Animations, and so on. Using this section, you can find the content you want to watch in a hassle-free manner.

Quality Streaming

StreamLive may not offer the best-in-class streaming service but it’s quite decent. I subscribed to the network for its ‘Extra Premium Movies Channels’ pack for 3 months. I got access to channels such as HBO, HBO Family, Showtime, EPIX and Starz among many others. The stream was lag-free and I could stream content in HD quality without any hiccups. With 32MBPS internet speed, it’s fair to say that there were no significant issues. However, at $27.99/quarterly, I feel I could’ve gotten better service.

TV Guide

I like the TV Guide feature on StreamLive. Not only is the page well-designed but it actually makes you feel as if you’re accessing a proper guide. There are listings on the channels organized in alphabetical order. So as soon as you step on this page, you’ll find channels such as ‘A&E’, ‘ABC’, ‘AMC’, ‘Animal Planet’, ‘BBC World’, ‘BeIN Sports’ and many more. You’ll find all the ongoing and upcoming programs on the horizontal panel right beside the channel logo.

How to access StreamLive?

You can access StreamLive in multiple ways. First, you can search for the term ‘StreamLive’, and you’ll probably find the website on the first page of your search result. Second, you can be redirected through an affiliate source since there are many websites that vouch for this service. Finally, you can click on the screenshot on the left if you want to access the website directly.

StreamLive certainly has its positives and negatives in terms of design. While the font, color combination, and content segregation are cool, the banner design isn’t. Personally, I put a lot of weight on homepage banners and the overall visual elements. StreamLive lacks the cutting-edge design mainly because of its unresponsive banners. The title gets chopped off and seeing that the developers couldn’t manage a standard 1920×1080 responsiveness, you really feel hard done.

The header section provides the website with a clean start. There are 10 main options – ‘Subscription’, ‘Premium’, ‘Tv Guide’, ‘Channels’, ‘Broadcast’, ‘Movies’, ‘TV Shows’, ‘Telegram’ and ‘Help’. Towards the right, you have a search bar and two buttons – ‘Login’, and ‘Register’. Overall I like this section because it’s simple and straightforward with a login panel that stands out.

Hero Section

Perhaps the poorest section on the website. The primary banner is not responsive which means that you won’t be able to read the text or enjoy a proper design as most of it is chopped off and has a crappy aspect ratio. Under the banner, you see some filler social media icons which include platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, WhatsApp, Tumblr, WeChat, and Viber. These are the stuffed elements that kind of make you want to doubt the legitimacy of this website.

The body section starts with different content buckets divided based upon the content type. Each section can be sorted based upon Free and Premium channels. As a user who’s visiting the website, you can click on ‘Free’ to check all the free-to-watch channels and if you like streaming quality, you can move towards getting a premium membership.

I like the body section because of the excellent content segregation. You can find different buckets such as ‘Movies’, ‘Live Sport’, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Animation’, ‘News’, and ‘Sports’. Each bucket has 8 primary banners with four of them in a single row. Under these banners, you’ll find pages if you want to check out more channels from that specific niche. I love the fact that the developers have taken a compact approach rather than laying everything out on the homepage.

I like the content arrangement in the footer section but the sudden teal background is not something I was expecting. Nonetheless, the navigation options help you forget everything really quickly. There are two main columns – ‘Stream Live’ and ‘Information’.

Under ‘Streamline’, you’ll find options such as ‘ TV Channels’, ‘TV Guide’, ‘Broadcast’, ‘Premium’, ‘Help’, and ‘Forgot Password’. Under Information, you’ll find ‘DMCA’, ‘Rewards’, ‘Advertise’, ‘Partner Program’, ‘Affiliate’, ‘Reseller Info’, and ‘Reseller Portal’. At the center, you can find the ‘Newsletter section’ and towards the right, there’s a copyright description.

Inner Pages

As for the inner pages, I’d like to talk about the streaming page. As soon as you land on it, you’ll find an in-built player section followed by information about the stream. These include Title, Language, Views, Category, and Broadcaster Name alongside social media icons. You can also check the quality if you look towards the right.

The flagship offering by StreamLive allows users to access 3800+ channels along with 15,000 VOD content from around the world. There are all types of premium channels available on the network in HD quality. From ESPN to HBO, you’ll find everything on this network. To make the most of the viewing experience, it’s advisable to pick a premium pack for HD viewing. Public servers can’t handle the HD streams and thus you might experience stream lag and buffer from time to time.

Desktop/Mobile experience

StreamLive works great with all the contemporary platforms. You can stream this IPTV on a variety of devices such as your Smart TV, Android phones, iOS devices, Roku, Kodi, and Gaming Consoles such as PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Microsoft Xbox One. A service’s ability to be compatible with major platforms is a major distinguishing factor between genuine and con websites.

Plans & Pricing

StreamLive has 11 different plans – ‘Premium’, ‘DVR Service’, ‘Movies10’, ‘MLB Extra Innings’, ‘PPV Package Boxing’, ‘Extra TV & Movie Channels’, ‘Adult TV HD Channels’, ‘NFL Sunday Ticket’, ‘Extra USA TV channels’, ‘Extra Premium Movie Channels’ and ‘ Service’. Each of these plans has specific pricing, you can visit their subscription page to learn more about it. Just to give you a hint, a basic monthly package starts at $9.99/month and the flagship of 3800+ channels and 15,000 movies on demand costs $14.95/month.

Suggestions I have for StreamLive

I really feel that the pricing needs to be reworked along with the poor banner design on the homepage. Apart from that, StreamLive is quite a decent platform and in time to come, it’ll surely gather steam.

The only thing I regret is not choosing the Service package instead of Premium movie channels one. Sure, I wouldn’t get access to several premium channels but that sacrifice comes at the cost of 3800 channels which in my opinion are enough to be your ultimate cord-cutting alternative.
