Every once in a while, I come across a free live TV streaming site that is far and away better than the majority of its competitors. Anybody who has spent some time searching for the best free streaming sites is familiar with the fact that not all free TV streaming sites are created equal. In fact, a great many of them are downright awful (unusable, really). This is why I take the time, though, to weed through all of the free live TV streaming sites on the web … because when I find a gem like Go Play, I cannot wait to share it with the world.

Go Play is a Belgian site that lets users stream live TV, free of charge. It is also a catchup streaming service that lets you watch content for up to 30 days after it airs. Although Go Play is a free TV streaming site, you would never be able to tell by looking at it. This site blends incredible site and app design with high quality content and even exclusive Go Play TV shows for a free TV streaming experience that is unrivaled.

If you are looking for the best free live TV streaming site, well, I am happy to say that you have come to the right place. Go Play is definitely a contender, in my opinion. Let’s dive right in and see why!

Design

Even though it is most certainly a free live TV streaming site, Go Play offers a premium streaming experience. In fact, I can only think of a handful of other free TV streaming sites in the world that even come anywhere close to providing the same quality of site design provided by Go Play. As anybody who has much experience with searching for free live TV streaming sites knows well, quality design is not exactly a common quality, unfortunately.

Go Play, however, exceeds all expectations on this front. The site is sleek, professional, dynamic, intuitive, and immersive. It really ticks all the boxes of great streaming site design, in my opinion. It is every bit as easy on the eyes as it is easy to use.

It isn’t just the fact that Go Play looks incredible that makes me love the site design so much; it is also the smooth user experience and clever little navigational hacks that give Go Play its unforgettable (borderline addicting) user interface. For instance, Go Play has a cool little dropdown menu that is a game changer for a free live TV streaming site like this.

In the site menu bar, alongside all of the usual tabs, you will also find a “transmitter.” From here, you can access whichever Go Play channel you prefer: Play 4, Play 5, Play 6, or Go Play in order to filter the entire website so that it only displays content from that channel. This is like the 21st century streaming equivalent of being able to channel surf! It is hard to believe, honestly, that I have never encountered a design quirk like this on a free live TV streaming site. It just makes so much sense.

If you prefer, though, you can always browse the entire catalog of series offered on Go Play by category or genre the same way you would on Hulu or Netflix. Scroll down to find handpicked content for you, organized by what’s new, exclusively on Go Play, shows from the US, all-time favorites, and more. Each category, as is typical to the modern streaming site build, allows you to browse via side scroll menus.

My one complaint when it comes to Go Play’s site design is the fact that there is no clear cut and clearly labeled live TV streaming section. It appears as if, to join in on streaming live TV for free, you have to do a great deal of browsing around the site or the guide. I would prefer it if, like other free live TV streaming sites, Go Play added a watch live tab or something of the sort to the site menu bar to make it a bit easier.

Other than this one minor inconvenience, however, Go Play is an expertly designed site. I would rank this free streaming site’s design right along with that of the top streamers in the world!

Content and Features

So, as we have already established, Go Play allows users to stream live TV for free. But that is not all that this site has to offer. Registered members of Go Play (free registration, don’t worry) can also watch their favorite shows on-demand. This is perfect for instances where you may have tuned in live but could not for some reason, or you weren’t aware of the airdate of a show, easily catchup with episodes for up to a month after it originally aired.

Go Play offers a very solid blend of content to stream for free, too. From some of the biggest hit shows in Belgium – such as De Mol, Over De Oceaan, and Junior Bake Off – to American favorites like Hawaii Five-O, Master Chef, Prodigal Son, and Pawn Stars … Go Play has a bit of something for everyone.

Plus, there is a whole roster of Go Play exclusive content here as well. Enjoy endlessly entertaining free TV streaming with titles like Wt Fock, Sekszusjes TV, Natur’elle, and Date my Closet. The content available on Go Play is, admittedly, a bit of a mixed bag … but, if I had to try and characterize it, on the whole, I would say that it tends to skew towards the realm of reality television and competition shows.

Go Play also has some alluring user features to its name. Users of this free TV streaming site will enjoy plenty of extras and behind the scenes footage from their favorite shows, the ability to create watch lists, and a dynamic, easy to use TV guide to help schedule your binge sessions. As far as free live TV streaming sites go, few come close to offering half as many useful and exciting features as Go Play.

Mobile and Desktop Experience

I have some more good news about Go Play for those of you who like to stream on the go. There is a Go Play mobile app that is available on both iOS and Android devices. Much like the desktop site, the Go Play app offers a top-notch layout and user experience, indistinguishable from that of a premium service. The app is smooth, smart, and fun to use, allowing for an outstanding free live TV streaming and on-demand, catchup streaming experience.

There are some unprecedented features available on the Go Play app, too, that I have never seen on most free TV streaming apps. For instance, this app allows you to download episodes from your favorite series, allowing you to stream even if you are ever unable to find an internet connection. Add this one to your must-have apps for a long flight or camping trip!

Another rare strength offered by the Go Play app is its lack of ads. This struck me as a bit odd, especially considering the fact that the desktop site seems to rely quite heavily on advertising – to the point where the site even forced me to turn my ad blocker off before it would allow me

to stream anything at all. Considering that the app is also free to download, my confusion is compounded.

But, hey, I am not one to complain … free live TV streaming from my phone with no ads? I’ll take it!

I will say this, though, the app has received a common complaint on the Google Play store regarding streaming issues. Some users claim that certain titles will not stream for one reason or another. Go Play claims to have addressed these issues, though, and the app has a fairly favorable average user rating of 3.4 (out of 5) on Google Play.

Conclusion

Go Play may not be a perfect free live TV streaming site. But it is pretty darn close. If you are in the market for one of the best streaming sites that the internet has to offer and can’t afford to add yet another monthly subscription fee to your budget, Go Play is the perfect site for you.
