User-intuitive website

With an extremely clean interface complemented with clear categories and intuitive search function, finding your favorite station becomes easy. Each section on the website has a purpose and adds to the overall user experience in some way. For instance, you can use the sorting option to not just sort channels by genre or location, you can also use the theme – a unique feature as opposed to traditional radio streaming sites.

Personalized Experience

With the effective utilization of machine learning in streaming apps, we’ve seen how the app learns about our taste and preferences. Similar is the case with which allows us to save our favorites, allows us to listen to selected radio broadcasts again. Keeps changing the homepage section to meet your taste. Offers clear search options so you can find related stations and songs that you like.

Great Podcast functions

You can explore the world of podcasts and find different ones ranging from comedy and music to news, health, and sports. From a TED interview to JRE, you’ll find everything on this network. It’s not just the volume of podcasts but also features such as skipping the breaks and episodes which make stand out. Direct episode playback, subscribing to podcasts and an auto-delete option to clear storage are some of the key features.

Offline Viewing

While the majority of the radio streaming sites have still not expanded their service enough to provide this feature, truly begs to differ. You can search for podcasts, decide whether you’d like to download episodes. Once downloaded, you can listen to these podcasts offline. If often find myself downloading Crime Junkie and listening to it in my spare time.

How to access

You can access in a couple of ways. You can use the browser to visit the website or you can download a dedicated app to make use of the premium features. An aspect I like the most about this service is that you don’t need to go premium to enjoy most of the content and podcast features.

Design has a cutting-edge design which makes it look premium right from the start. The dark grey background with white text and green accents gives it a premium feel. The developers have maintained a steady color combination throughout the website and thus everything flows well together.

When you visit, the first thing that catches your eye is the homepage banner along with the header section. Instead of left-right placement, has everything at the center. There are nine key options – Home, About Us, Broadcasters, Advertising, Press, Jobs, Blog, Contact and Language. Each of these options has a dedicated inner page to provide details about the subject matter.

Hero Section

The hero section of looks straight up from a basic template. It has a work desk with a laptop, coffee cups, and magazines. Quite a standard homepage banner which you’d mostly see on most of the marketing company’s website. As you scroll further, you see a headline ‘Welcome to’ with descriptive text underneath.

The body section on has a couple of square banners that highlight the web and in-app services. On the left, you can find a banner relating to the browser and on the right, there’s app support suggesting that the app is available on App Store, Google Play Store, Windows Store and even on Blackberry.

Upon scrolling further, you’ll find currents events that don’t seem updated as the last event that happened in September 2019 still features under current events. As you scroll further, you’ll find two illustrations – 1. Your station on and 2. Advertising on Thus, it’s for stations who either want to get their station on the network or for advertisers who want to spread brand awareness using

Inner pages

The inner pages on the website maintain the dark grey, white and green color combination. There are options such as Top Stations, Near You, Genres, News, Comedy, Culture, and More Topics. If you click on any of these titles, you’d be provided content in a similar format. As you go over each of these categories, you’ll find ten square thumbnails with their channel names.

For instance, I clicked on top stations and I found Hot 107.9, WTOP 103.5 Top News, and ESPN Radio among many other options. The format is similar for all the other categories except More Topics. If you hover on that option, you’ll find different niches such as Sports, DJ, Politics, Science, Society, Knowledge, Religion, Economy, Language, Interview, Region, People Music, and Children.

Footer has five different menus in the footer section – Company, Legal, Service, apps and social. Under the company, you can learn about the brand, press releases, blogs, advertising opportunities, and broadcasting opportunities. Under Legal there’s standard terms of use, Privacy Policy and Legal notice option. Under service, there’s Contact, Apps, FAQ option and under apps it has iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry. Lastly, under social, you have six social media networks – Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube and Zing.

I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts lately and thus I enjoy the massive content library offered by Apart from podcasts, I like their collection of sports radio stations along with smooth jazz and classic rock stations. I just mentioned three buckets, but can you believe there are nearly 30,000 stations from which you can choose? After a couple of weeks, I saw my homepage adapting to my taste and thus usually all my favorite podcasts and stations would be present on the homepage itself.

Desktop/Mobile experience

I have a premium version of on my iPhone XR and I have to say that it’s one of the most amazing apps on my phone. Its airplay feature allows me to use this app on external speakers. If you’re an Android user, you can make use of the Chromecast and thus stream best podcasts on your smart home devices without any hassle.

Another key feature I like on this app is the offline feature along with sleep timer and radio-alarm. If you like to sleep while radio’s playing in the background, this is a feature you’re going to love. Using a sleep timer allows you to play music for a specific period after which it stops automatically. You can use the same tool to even set up an alarm to wake you up in the morning.

Plans & Pricing is free to use. However, if you want to upgrade, you can download the app for $6.99 which will allow you to stream ad-free.

Suggestions I have for

Sometimes updates cause discrepancies when playing favorite channels. For instance, I was listening to WHTZ z100 radio channel and it kept crashing after every five seconds. Though the issue was resolved later, I’d like the developers to look into the issue.

With over 30,000 radio stations on the website, there’s absolutely no dearth of content on You’ll find channels covering different genres from all over the world. These include rock, pop, hip hop, classical, blues, alternative rock, jazz, electro, and house to name a few. With its app, has over 10 million+ downloads on Android phones and nearly a million on iOS devices.
